Sarim Ahmed of the Aga Khan Higher Secondary School clinched first position in the English section of the 6th Inter-Collegiate Bilingual Declamation contest of Sir Adamjee Institute. A announcement of the institution here on Thursday said that the Urdu debate was won by Hafiza Sadaf Bashir of Sir Syed Government Girls College.
A renowned educationist and President of Muhammad Ali Jinnah University was the chief guest on the occasion. Abid Syed, Mrs Parveen Zahid, Ms Samreen Humayyun, Abid Ali Umang, Syed Rizwan Zaidi and Mrs Fouzia Shakir Ali were on the panel of judges. As many as 24 students from 12 colleges participated in the contest. In English debate, Sarim Ahmed of Aga Khan Higher Secondary School secured first position. Sumaiya Khan of BAMM PECHS Government Girls College remained second while Waqar Abdul Razzaq of DHA College for Boys Phase VI, got third position.
In Urdu debate, Hafiza Sadaf Bashir of Sir Syed Government Girls College bagged the first position. Wajeeha Shahid of Aga Khan Higher Secondary School stood second while Syed Wafa Haider of BAMM PECHS Government Girls College got the third position. Two special prizes were secured in Urdu debate by Shehzadi of Government Girls College Korangi IV and Maria Irshad of Bahria College Karsaz. The Running Trophy was bagged by Aga Khan Higher Secondary School.
