The Commission of Enquiry on Enforced Disappearances (CEED) traced 116 disappeared persons out of total 225 during the last eight months. The commission has deleted 86 cases of disappeared people, as it could not found their cases of 'enforced disappearances, while 23 were deleted due to incomplete addresses/particulars.
The commission took up these 225 cases and disposed off the cases after hearing families of the missing persons as well as departments concerned. During the four day, the Commission held proceedings in the cases pertaining to Punjab, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT). The Commission would hold next proceedings in Karachi from December 21 and submit report after completion of the proceedings.
