The Karachi Port handled 94,592 tonnes of cargo including 69,634 tonnes of import cargo, 24,958 tonnes of export cargo, 4,094 loaded and empty containers during last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Saturday. The total import cargo of 69,634 tonnes comprised of 33,967 tonnes of containerised cargo; 1,968 tonnes of general cargo; 23,405 tonnes of bulk cargo: 5,095 tonnes of sugar; 18,310 tonnes of coal and 19,294 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
The total export cargo of 24,958 tonnes comprised of 17,209 tonnes of containerised cargo; 464 tonnes of general cargo; 7,285 tonnes of bulk cargo: 6,106 tonnes of cement and 1,179 tonnes of rice. Eight ships namely MT Lahore, Marcampania, Bunga Aster, AKMI, Hiper Link, Ocean Promoter, Purwati and TS Jakarta sailed out to sea during the reported period.
Eight vessels viz King Brave, Hiba Al-Noor, CSL Ride, Purwati, APL Sokhna, YM America and Miss Marillena are currently at the berth. Three ships namely Lodestar Genesis, Btrch-2 and Pacific Guardian expected to sail on Saturday, while two vessels viz CSL Ride and Kota Harum are expected to sail on Sunday. Four vessels viz Jey Hope, Hansa Stavanger, Thana Bhum and MOL Seabreeze due to arrive on Saturday, while eleven ships namely Zhong Chi, Sichem Pearl, Bunga Raya Lima, Busan Express, Amanda, OEL Trust, Samin-1, APL Shenzhen, New Navigation, Miletus and Pacific Friend are due to arrive on Sunday.

PORT QASIM
The Port Qasim handled 104,100 tonnes of cargo includes 79,140 tonnes of import cargo and 24,960 tonnes of export cargo, 2,788 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours.
The total import cargo of 79,140 tonnes includes 41,749 tonnes of furnace oil; 3,000 tonnes of edible oil; 12,911 tonnes of coal; 1,534 tonnes of seeds; 8,996 tonnes of chemicals and 10,950 tonnes of containerised cargo. The total export cargo includes 24,960 tonnes of containerised cargo.
Three ships namely CV CSAV Pyreness, MT Patriotic and MT Sea Hope sailed out to sea during 24 hours, while two more container ships namely CV SD Glory and CV MSC Freedom are expected to sail on Saturday afternoon. A total number of eight ships namely CV SD Glory, CV MSC Freedom, MT Bunga Aster, MT Four Bay, MT Patriotic, MV Ellivita and MV SD Epos are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, rice, palm oil, furnace oil, chemicals, coal and seeds respectively.
Two vessels viz MSC Tia and Al-Salam-II carrying containers and diesel oil are currently at the outer anchorage. A total number of two container ships namely CV Lobivia and CV MSC Tia carrying containers are expected to take berths at Container Terminal on Saturday.
A container vessel viz CV MSC Sena due to arrive on Saturday, while two more container vessels viz CV MSC Jade and CV Maersk Iowa are due to arrive on Sunday. A total number of two ships namely MV Al-Mukutarh and Urgent Eye Bright with furnace oil and crude oil are also due to arrive.
