Mangla dam: 'affectees' rights to be safeguarded'

Member AJK Legislative Assembly and President Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) AJK Chaudhry Abdul Majeed has said on Monday, the due rights of Mangla dam affectees will be safeguarded in letter and spirit. Talking to a delegation of the Dam affectees, Majeed said efforts to attain the due rights of the dam raising project affectees would continue till complete rehabilitation of the displaced families.
Chaudhry Majeed said that with liberal financial assistance of the federal government, the state government was fully committed to complete the process of resettlement and rehabilitation of the affectees before the completion of the project.
Majeed said the provision of financial assistance by the federal government was the ample proof of the fact that the government was taking keen interest in the overall development and progress of the liberated territory. He said he would represent the feelings of the dam affectees at each forum to get them resettled entirely in line with the already-reached agreement.
