The staff members of Business Recorder, at a condolence meeting held here on Wednesday, lauded the contributions of the late M. A. Zuberi, the founder and Editor-in-Chief of Business Recorder and Patron-in-Chief of Aaj News, that he rendered in the field of economic and financial journalism in Pakistan.
The meeting held at newspaper's newsroom was chaired by Editor Business Recorder Wamiq A. Zuberi. The two other sons of the late Zuberi were also present at a condolence meeting of a veteran journalist of sub-continent who has left behind a rich legacy of life dedicated to the profession of economic and financial journalism. The meeting began with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Rafiq Baloch.
Speakers said that the late Zuberi started his career with Dawn where he worked for it for nearly 20 years. Wamiq A Zuberi said his father was a true Pakistani, and his inspiration sprang from glorious days of Pakistan Movement.
He reaffirmed his determination that M. A. Zuberi's mission would continue. "We the team members would try our level best to run this institution in accordance with the vision of its founder M. A. Zuberi," he said. Arshad Zuberi, Deputy Chief Executive of Business Recorder, said his father was a true working journalist in his approach to journalism or work.
