SU to establish linkages with Italy, Kazakhstan universities

The University of Sindh will imitate academic linkage agreements with the Universities of Italy and Kazakhstan in different areas especially in Archaeology, Anthropology and Geology. This was discussed between the Vice Chancellor University of Sindh, Professor Dr Nazir A. Mughal and Italian scholars SALA Renato and DEOM Jean Mare, presently working in Kazakhstan in field of Archaeology and Anthropology, during their visit to the varsity.
Professor Dr Mughal welcomed the scholars and briefed them about academic and research programmes in different disciplines. He also shared his academic experiences with the scholars about his research collaboration during his stay in USA and academic linkages initiated by him with foreign varsities as VC recently and during his first tenure 1995-99.
While presenting a catalogue of year 2010 to the scholars, he informed that SU is public sector, second oldest varsity of Pakistan, serving youths of Pakistan and foreigner students. He also shared efforts made by him in connection with academic linkages with the varsities of China during his visit and observation about the developments that took place in China in few decades.
Professor Dr Mughal informed the scholars that during his stay in Edinboro University, USA, he imitated credit classes during summer in England, Moscow, Italy, Thailand China and Karachi and taught students different courses. Especially, he added that he took classes in England of English, in Moscow, History of Europe and added that he has been roaming for at-least 15 years in these countries. He said that the students, apart from learning course, were able to learn different languages, culture and traditions of various nations.
The VC offered the scholars academic linkages between the Universities of Italy and Kazakhstan and handed over a copy of a model of MoU. The scholars showed interest in collaborative research between the varsities in the areas of Geology, Anthropology and Archaeology. They said that the Excellence Centre in Geology of SU is working excellently. They said that they found excellent students studying in different departments especially in geology and anthropology and archaeology, having a lot of sprit and interest in their fields.
