Pakistan Muslim League-Q (PML-Q) led by Chaudhary Shujaat Hussain and Chaudhry Pervez Elahi has issued a 14-point charge-sheet against Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif. In party's 14-point, PML (Q) provincial information secretary has put following questions to CM Punjab:
(1) CM Punjab had purchased sugar from Trading Corporation of Pakistan TCP at the rate of Rs 56 per kilogram, however, it was to the people at the rate of Rs 125 per KG. What action did the Punjab government take against the profiteers? Besides, the court had asked the government to sell sugar at Rs 42 per KG which was sold out at Rs 72 per KG; what justification was submitted in the court for violation of its orders?
(2) Who are the people who have formed cartelisation of poultry business?
(3) Why export of mutton has been permitted whereas it is in short supply in the province?
(4) Why did the Punjab government save lives of 72 extremely dangerous criminals by defective investigation and made the prosecution system ineffective?
(5) Punjab was surplus by Rs 76 billion till 2008. After just 33 months it has gone into deficit by about Rs 400 billion in FY 2010-2011. Would CM Punjab tell the people where this money has gone and appoint an independent committee to investigate the plunder?
(6) In its election manifesto PML (N) had promised to bring back the 1997 prices of commodities, instead, they had already gone to the level of 2097 year in 33 months. People wanted to know who had looted them.
(7) There has been an increase of 235 percent in highway and street crimes. Would CM like to define what is "good governance," besides what are the causes of these crimes?
(8) Medicines and sprays imported to control Dengue virus have proved spurious causing death to several patients. Did the CM investigate the matter and take any action against the importers of fake medicines?
(9) Billions of rupees were plundered through Sasti Roti and fake food support programme in Punjab. Despite demand of the opposition parties, why third party audit is not being conducted?
(10) Why reports of embezzlement in Nawaz Sharif Social Security hospital of millions of rupees, mishandling of floods in South Punjab and illegal provision of irrigation canal to the Chief Minister's sugar mill near Chiniot are not being made public.
(11) Why in violation of "Charter of Democracy," horse trading was held at Jatti Omra (CM's residence) to purchase loyalties of members of provincial assembly to form PML (N)'s government
(12) What kind of culture of political tolerance did CM promote in the province by registering 100 to 150 false cases against the confidantes of Chaudhry brothers (Shujaat and Pervez Elahi) in every constituency?
(12) Why did the CM freeze funds of the local governments and deprive the people at the grass roots from the benefit of development projects and civic facilities?
(13) After signing the RGST draft, why did the CM go back from his word; whereas he had not allowed the Opposition to move a motion against the RGST in the provincial assembly?
(14) Provincial minister Ashraf Sohna has made a public statement that CM Punjab is not allowing the provincial ministers to play their effective role to eliminate corruption in the country. Why is CM silent on this matter?
