Police in the limits of Sukkhun police station on Thursday found two bodies said to be of the personnel of spy agency. According to police sources, two personnel of spy agency were targeted at Rehri road in the limits of Sukkhun police station. The victims were identified as Safir Khan and Imdad Chandio. The bodies of two personnel, who received bullets in their heads, were found in bushes near Rehri Road.
Police claimed that the unknown assailants had used short weapons in this targeted killing as they found two empty shells of 9mm and 30.bore pistols from crime scene. They were of the view that both personnel were killed at the same spot where the bodies were found. Later, the DIG East Zone also visited the spot.
When contacted, Tanveer Alam, SP Bin Qasim Town, confirmed that the deceased were spy agents. He further said the police had found some documents from their possession, indicating the victims as the personnel of spy agency. Meanwhile, the spy agency, after getting the said information, has initiated inquiry in this regard. The bodies of deceased were shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for autopsy. No case was registered till the filing of this report.
Meanwhile, a worker of Pakistan People's Party and a Rangers Jawan were killed in separate incidents here on Thursday. An activist of Pakistan Peoples Party was gunned down while another injured in Sher Mohammad Goth, when gunmen forcefully closing shops to mourn the death of their associate Nadeem, 22, opened fire on showing resistance.
Dad Raheem, 29, son of Dur Muhammad was killed and Saleem, 20, sustained serious bullet wounds. The dead body and injured were shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center. The area residents set tires on fire near Kamran Chowrangi to condemn the killing. Tension engulfed the entire area.
In another incident a Pakistan Rangers Jawan was gunned down by unknown armed men. He was identified as Shaukat, 40 and was deployed at Mosamyat Chowrangi to maintain law and order situation when a group of armed persons attacked and killed him. His body was shifted to Abbashi Shaheed Hospital for autopsy. Further investigations are under way.
