University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) Engineers have marked a new chapter of success by revamping its 1,000KV power generator installed here 40 year ago which has enabled the university continue its academic and research endeavours without any power breakdown.
This was stated by UAF Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan while inaugurating the generator here in front of the faculty of agriculture engineering & technology. Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan appreciated the efforts made by Dean Professor Dr Rai Niaz Ahmad, Muhammad Azam Khan and their team who worked day and night more than six months and remained invigorated towards their goals despite of the extreme weather conditions.
Sharing his views on the non-availability of generator's drawings, the VC said that before this successful attempt, various efforts were made to get the generator start and functional but dream could not been transformed into reality. He described the success an awesome breakthrough and added that after getting the backup support of the generator.
