Sindh Minister for Katchi Abadies & Spatial Development Rafique Engineer Advocate has said that education and sports play important role in eradication of social evils from the society. The minister was addressing closing ceremony of Fun Fair/ Eid Festival organised by Rose Education Society Lyari at Nisar Shaheed Park, Gizri on Thursday, wherein more than 2500 children of 22 educational institutions participated.
He lauded the contributions of Rose Education Society. He added that Lyari was full of talent and the people of the area had played important role in development of the country.
He said that schools in Lyari were given the status of model schools, adding that medical college, university and other higher education institutions have been established in the area. Earlier, Patron of Rose Educational Society Anwar Bhatti highlighted different activities of the society. He informed that since 1992, 22 educational institutions have been established in which more than 7500 students were imparted education. Later, Rafiq Engineer distributed prizes among the students.
