Pakistan is expecting to receive 3.9 billion dollars assistance from donor countries and financial institutions between November-June 2010-11. Government has revised budgetary foreign assistance disbursement estimates downwards - from 4443.7 billion dollars to 4336.3 billion dollars. To-date the government has received 365 million dollars during the first four months (July-October) of the ongoing financial year 2010-11 and hopes to get 3971.3 million dollars during November-June 2010-11.
600 million dollars under Kerry Lugar Bill is expected from the United States (US) and 500 million dollars is expected through floating bonds internationally. 133.8 million dollars has been received under the Tokyo pledges out of a total of 936.5 million dollars estimated disbursements under this head during the whole year.
Government received 11.2 million dollars on account of programme loans/budgetary support during the first four months (July-October); and has projected a total of 1,015.8 million loan disbursements under programme loans/budgetary support during ongoing financial year. Government has received 195.1 million dollars under project mode, 23.3 million dollars under head of Earthquake aid and 1.6 million dollars for Afghan R.R.A during July-October 2010-11.
The IMF is strictly monitoring Pakistan's performance indicators under its standby loan arrangement, and many FoDP countries are carefully evaluating these indicators prior to taking any decisions with respect to disbursing their pledges. "As there has been poor cash inflow of disbursement from FoDP, the obvious conclusion is that Pakistan has not yet come out of the woods as far as its economic performance is concerned," argue analysts.
