Hard red winter wheat cash bids in the US Plains were unchanged on Tuesday in a lacklustre holiday market with only light demand and little country movement noted. Rail movement was reported good, with few delays. Protein premiums for railcar wheat to and through Kansas City were up 5-10 cents a bushel for 13.00 percent protein and above wheat supplies and up 2 cents for 11.00- and 11.20 percent protein wheat.
Dry weather persisted in the US Plains where western fields were under drought stress. Kansas City Board of Trade March HRW wheat futures ended down 1-1/4 cents at $8.43-3/4 per bushel on Monday. Egypt's General Authority for Supply Commodities was seeking offers for cargoes of 60,000 tonnes of soft and/or milling wheat from the United States, Canada, Germany, France, Britain, Australia and Argentina.
