Federal Minister for Labour and Manpower Syed Khurshid Shah on Wednesday said while giving official statement that the government has no intention to repeal Tahaffuz-e-Namoos-e-Risalat law. "I announce with full responsibility and give official statement that the government has no intention to undo the law on Tahaffuz-e-Namnoos-e-Risalat.
The government is not responsible and has no link if any member of the party brings such bill. We are Muslim and we want complete protection of Tahaffuz-e-Namoos-e-Risalat law," the Minister said this while giving official statement on the floor of the National Assembly. After seeking permission by the Chair to clarify position of the government over the issue that has stirred public anger, the Minister said that government considered Tahaffuz-e-Namoos-e-Risalat its responsibility and held firm faith in it.
