Under the annual development programme, an amount of Rs 31.669 million would be spent on repair of nine roads in the jurisdiction of TMA Lyallpur Town for which tenders have been invited. This was informed in a meeting held here on Friday with DCO Naseem Sadiq in the chair.
The meeting was further informed that the technical sections of these schemes had already been given while departmental action was being taken for completing these uplift schemes within stipulated period. According to the details, Rs 6 million would be spent on repair work of jail road to Mohallah Islam Nagar road while Rs 4.95 million had been allocated for the maintenance of road from PS Factory areas to graveyard Momnabad Sir Syed Chowk whereas funds of Rs 4.90 million had been earmarked for the maintenance of 212 Dijkot road to Momnabad chowk Sir Syed town chowk.
The meeting was informed that repair and maintenance of other roads from vocational institute to Sargodha road, Millat road to Gandanala new Green town, Millat road to Sahil Hospital road, road of Shehzad Town behind Haji camp and Kotwali road to Veterinary Hospital roads were also included in this programme.
