Talking to media outside Parliament House here, Kaira said that imposition of new taxes was need of the hour to steer the country out of economic mess.
He said that the government was well aware of the price hike, adding that the lack of resources is the main cause of price hike due to which masses were in trouble. He also urged the opponents to realise the problem and avoid point scoring. To a question, he said that the government was concerned over the situation caused by the separation of some allied parties, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl quitting the government and Muttahida Qaumi Movement, leaving the Federal Cabinet slots.

Similarly, he added that the people of Gilgit-Baltistan were given their long waiting right due to the constitutional reforms.
He said that the Aghaz-e-Haqooq-e-Balochistan package for the people the province was another landmark achievement of the government, which will be acted upon in letter and spirit.
