Bench hearing dual office case of Zardari dissolved

The bench hearing dual office case of President Asif Ali Zardari has been dissolved after the appointment of Justice Iqbal Hameedur Rahman as Chief Justice Islamabad High Court and bench would be reconstituted to resume hearing of the matter on January 10.
Justice Iqbal was one of the five members on the Bench, headed by Chief Justice Ijaz Ahmad Chaudhry. The other members of the bench include Justice Ifitikhar Hussain Chaudhry, Justice Umar Ata Bandial and Justice Ijazul Ehsan. The petitioner Pakistan Lawyers Forum had questioned the dual office of Asif Ali Zardari, one Constitutional office of the President of Pakistan and other political one as Co-chairperson, PPP.
