SSGC, SNGPL line losses limit: LHC issues notices to Ogra, secretary petroleum
The Lahore High Court on Monday issued notices to Ogra Chairman and Secretary Petroleum for Tuesday (today) in a joint petition filed by Sui Northern Gas Pipeline and Sui Sadran Gas pipeline seeking increase in limit of line losses. Both the companies through their counsel contended that Ogra had fixed limit of line losses up to 4.63 percent of total consumption of gas.
They said with increase in new connection use of gas on regular basis, the line losses are also soaring. They said they had applied to Ogra for increase in limit up to 7 percent but no decision has been taken so far. The court summoned deputy attorney general Naveed Inayat Malik who told the court that secretary petroleum was not available for reply on petition, as he was busy in the Supreme Court. On it, the court issued notices to respondents for Tuesday.
