Environment Minister and ANP leader, Wajid Ali Khan said on Monday that ANP would continue to support PPP government in the prevailing political situation for continuity of democracy and strengthening of democratic institutions in the country.
"ANP is the ally of PPP in federal and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa governments and would provide full support to PPP in the current heightening political situation for sustainable democracy in Pakistan," he told APP. To a question, he said that the forces loyal to democracy should now learned that wrangling between political parties had only strengthened dictators and our past 64 years' parliamentary history is replete with such happenings.
He said ANP and PPP with a diversified culture had agreed on a single point to take forward the ship of democracy that had returned after matchless struggle by democratic forces in the country. ANP and PPP coalition has weakened dictatorship and led to dawn of a new era of democracy in the country, he added.
