Ministry for Food and Agriculture(Minfa) organising a conference on January 4 to evolve strategy for exploring international markets for the country's mangoes, including USA. The conference is likely to be inaugurated by Minister for Food and Agriculture Nazar Muhammad Gondal. The conference is being organised in collaboration with United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
Introductory remarks on mango export potential and government's support to private sector would be made by Malik Zahoor Ahmed, DG National Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, official sources said. As part of curtain raiser (4-minute documentary on USAID's Mango Programme would also be screened on the occasion. Nasarullah Khan, a Mango farmer from Muzaffargarh, would also share his experience as how he benefited from USAID's Post Flood Orchard Management Training.
