The workers of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) became violent and hurled on the streets as the death news of Governor Punjab, Salman Taseer spread out in the country. Party workers burnt tyres in different parts of the city and threw stones on the open shops and property. Security situation became high alert in the city after this demise.
PPP workers shouted slogans and demanded to hang out the assassin at once. Shopkeepers closed the markets and bazaars in most parts of the city.
