A committee instituted by Punjab Chief Minister to address the issue of leasing land for petrol pumps met here on Tuesday to review suggestions presented by the stakeholders. Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman, chairman of the committee and Punjab Minister for Excise and Taxation presided over the meeting.
Mehar Ishtiaq Ahmad, MPA, Law Secretary, member colonies, chairman of privatisation board, director general of LDA, the DCO and other concerned officers attended the meeting. The meeting was apprised that the government wanted to resolve the issue transparently and amicably. The chairman directed the officers to finalise the recommendations of the committee so that a report could be presented to the Chief Minister within three days.
