District Planning & Design Committee (DPDC) approved 65 roads of the city for commercialisation activities and also sanctioned the criteria according to the relevant rules and regulation for the conversion of properties and land situated on the commercial roads.
The meeting of DPDC held under the chairmanship of Divisional Commissioner Tahir Hussain. DCO Naseem Sadiq, DG FDA Dr Arshad Mehmud, Director Development, Dr Tariq Sardar, relevant officers of TMOs also attended the meeting. It was informed in the meeting that necessary directions had been issued to the concerned officers for the provision of missing facilities and effective traffic management on these roads. The meeting also approved the criteria for the conversion of properties for business activities on the roads nominated by DPDC for this purpose.
The committee will meet after two weeks to grant commercialisation of remaining roads, which were under consideration by the committee. The chair also directed the concerned officers for administrative harmony and co-ordinated efforts in the completion of commercialisation process and sought guidance in any clarification and ambiguity from DPDC. Later the meeting reviewed progress of administrate, revenue and law & order matters relating to Faisalabad Industrial Estate Development and Management Company (FIEDMC).
Divisional Commissioner Tahir Hussain chaired the meeting. DCO Naseem Sadiq, Chief Operating Officer Brigadier R. Ahmad Riaz Siddiqui, Director Development Dr Tariq Sardar, CE Irrigation Shafaqat Hussain Bhatti, EDOR Liaqat Chatha, SP Rana Ahmad Hassan, Manager Legal FIEDMC Riaz Ahmad Gill and other attended the meeting.
