The Karachi Port handled 141,611 tonnes of cargo including 105,732 tonnes of import cargo, 35,879 tonnes of export cargo, 4,863 loaded and empty containers during last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Saturday. The total import cargo of 105,732 tonnes comprised of 37,594 tonnes of containerised cargo; 26,188 tonnes of bulk cargo: 21,361 tonnes of coal; 4,825 DAP and 41,950 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
The total export cargo of 35,879 tonnes comprised of 31,559 tonnes of containerised cargo; 540 tonnes of general cargo and 3,880 tonnes of cement. Six ships namely Polaris Stardom, STX Patriakos, Christina, MSC Jemima, OEL Shryas and Tuna-7 with tanker, containers, bags, tanker and bulk cargo respectively sailed out to sea during the reported period.
Eleven vessel viz Bow Century, MSC Jemima, Courier, Sea Hope, Samin-1, Oriental, Simber, OOCL Charleston, APL Sokhna, Galaxy and Alliance Beaumont carrying tanker, containers, tanker, containers, bags, containers, tanker and car carrier respectively are currently at the berths. Four ships namely Samin-1, Simber, Alliance Beaumont and Sea Hope carrying containers, vehicles and crude oil respectively expected to sail on Saturday, while four ships namely CSL Ride, OOCL Charleston, Rukia and Ocean President with containers, cement and coal respectively are expected to sail on Sunday.
Four vessels viz Nordic PIA, Viona, MOL Success and Yalibel carrying molasses, containers and coal respectively due to arrive on Saturday, while nine vessels viz MT Karachi, Al-Soor-II, Patriotic, Dow Panther, Bow Santos, Hyundai Long Beach, Al-Mirqab, APL Shenzhen and CMB Maxime with containers, crude oil, diesel oil, chemicals palm oil, chemicals, containers and coal respectively are due to arrive on Sunday.

PORT QASIM
The Port Qasim handled 70,413 tonnes of cargo includes 55,341 tonnes of import cargo and 15,072 tonnes of export cargo, 2,426 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours. The total import cargo of 55,341 tonnes includes 29,437 tonnes of diesel oil; 7,881 tonnes of palm oil; 473 tonnes of sugar and 17,550 tonnes of containerised cargo.
The total export cargo includes 15,072 tonnes of containerised cargo. Three ships namely MV Glory, MT Samho Sapphire and MT Al-Salam-II sailed out to sea during last 24 hours. A total number of eight vessels viz MV Glory, MSC Anafi, MV Troy, MV Yon Phung Ho, MV Lagonda, MV Lanka Mahapola, MT Al-Salam-II and MT Samho Sapphire are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, rice, sugar, wheat, diesel oil and palm oil respectively during last 24 hours.
Three ships namely Kihada, Patriotic and Chemroad Dita carrying diesel oil, chemicals and palm oil respectively are currently at the outer anchorage. A total number of three vessels viz Kihada, Patriotic and Chemroad Dita carrying diesel oil, chemicals and palm oil respectively are expected to take berths at Container Terminal, Liquid Cargo Terminal and FOTCO Oil Terminal respectively on Saturday.
