The Karachi Port handled 298,491 tonnes of cargo including 213,339 tonnes of import cargo, 85,152 tonnes of export cargo, 6,053 loaded and empty containers during last 48 hours ended at 0700 hours on Monday. The total import cargo of 213,339 tonnes comprised of 74,457 tonnes of containerised cargo; 1,335 tonnes of general cargo; 25,230 tonnes of bulk cargo: 20,120 tonnes of coal; 5,110 tonnes of DAP and 112,317 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
The total export cargo of 85,152 tonnes comprised of 66,084 tonnes of containerised cargo; 2,625 tonnes of general cargo; 16,443 tonnes of bulk cargo: 4,643 tonnes of cement and 11,800 tonnes of clinker. Fourteen ships namely Sea Hope, Ocean President, Rukia, Titians Schulte, OOCL Charleston, Selin-M, Viona, Simber, CSL Ride, Samin-1, Lodestar Genesis and Alliance Beaumont with tanker, bulk cargo, bags, containers, bulk cargo and containers respectively sailed out to sea during the reported period.
Twelve vessels viz MT Karachi, Abdulla Latif-S, Al-Mirqab, APL Shenzhen, Hyundai Long Beach, Pacific Champ, Alliance Beaumont, Titians Schulte, Viona, MOL Success, Banglar Kallol and MT Lahore carrying bags, containers, bulk cargo, cars carrier, bags, containers, general cargo and tanker respectively are currently at the berth.
Four ships namely MT Lahore, MOL Success, APL Shenzhen and Al-Mirqab carrying crude oil and containers respectively expected to sail on Monday, while four ships namely HMAS Melbourne, MT Karachi, Saeed and Hyundai Long Beach with crude oil, cement and containers respectively are expected to sail on Tuesday.
Two vessels viz Wan Hai-602 and Bunga Raya Dua carrying containers due to arrive on Monday, while seven vessels viz Verity, Sichem Osprey, APL Dyprine, Mare Doro, Leopard-B, Marina Bay and Da Hua with ethanol, palm oil, containers, rock phosphate, cement, equipment and general cargo respectively are due to arrive on Tuesday.

PORT QASIM
The Port Qasim handled 87,300 tonnes of cargo includes 78,300 tonnes of import cargo and 9,000 tonnes of export cargo, 2,182 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours. The total import cargo of 78,300 tonnes includes 42,450 tonnes of diesel oil; 14,350 tonnes of palm oil; 20 tonnes of sugar and 21,480 tonnes of containerised cargo. The total export cargo includes 9,000 tonnes of containerised cargo.
Four ships namely MV Maersk Missouri, Chemroad Dita, MT Kihada and MV Yon Phung Ho sailed out to sea on Monday. A total number of five vessels viz MV Maersk Missouri, MV Yon Phung Ho, MV Lagonda, MT Kihada and Chemroad Dita are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, sugar, wheat, diesel oil and palm oil respectively during last 24 hours.
Three ships namely Scotia Spirit, Argent Aster and CSAV Romeral carrying furnace oil, edible oil and containers respectively are currently at the outer anchorage. A total number of three vessels viz CSAV Romeral, Argent Aster and Scotia Spirit carrying containers, edible oil and furnace oil respectively are expected to take berths at Container Terminal, Liquid Cargo Terminal and FOTCO Oil Terminal respectively on Monday, while another container ship namely CV Hammonia Pomerenia due to arrive on the same day.
