High prices restrict business on grain market

Slow business was seen on the wholesales grain and seed market on Monday as buyers were on the sidelines due to higher prices, dealers said. On the rice sector Irri-6 low type shed Rs 30 to Rs 3370 and fine quality lost Rs 25 to Rs 3400, other items maintained overnight levels in process of trading, they said.
On the seed side, cottonseeds oilcake with bag low type did not show any change at Rs 1260 and best type was lower by Rs 15 to Rs 1275, they said. Cereals and grams prices stayed put due to balanced demand and supply, they said.
