The parents of Justice Javed Iqbal laid to rest at Ghalib Market Graveyrad here on Wednesday after their Nimaz-e-jinaza was offered at outside the masjid of Askari villas phase V. Quran khwani for the late parents of Justice Javed would be held after Zohar prayers and dua at 3:30 pm at the ground outside 111-D- Phase V, Askari villas, here Thursday (today).
The octogenarian, former DIG Balochistan Abdul Hameed and his spouse were mysteriously stifled to death at their Cavalry Ground residence on Tuesday. The Nimaz-e-jinaza, was attended by Chief Justice Pakistan, Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, Chief Minister Punjab, Mian Shahbaz Sharif, Chief Justice Lahore High Court Ijaz Ahmad Chaudhry and Governor-designate Sardar Latif Khan Khosa and a large number of people hailing from different walks of life.
Besides the said ones the funeral was attended by Chief Justice Islamabad High Court Iqbal Hameedur Rehman, Superior courts judges including Justice Khalilur Rehman Ramday, Justice Nasirul Mulk, Justice Shakirullah Jan, Justice Raja Fayyaz Ahmad, Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed, Justice Umar Ata Bandial, Justice Mansoor Ali Shah, Justice Asad Munir, Justice Ijazul Ahsan, former Chief Justice Lahore High Court Khwaja Muhammad Sharif, former judges of the superior courts including Justice Falek Sher, Justice Tanvir Ahmad Khan, Justice Khalilur Rehman Khan, Justice Faqir Muhammad Khokhar, Justice Sayed Zahid Hussain, Justice Manzoor Hussain Sial, Justice Sheikh Riaz Ahmad, Justice Jamshed Ali Shah, Justice Sheikh Ijaz Nisar, Justice Sharif Hussain Bokhari, Justice Mian Aftab Furrukh, Justice Abdul Hafeez Cheema, Justice Muzammal Khan, Justice Abdul Hameed Dogar, Editor-in-Chief daily The Nation and Nawa-i-Waqt Majid Nizami, Advocate General Punjab Khawja Harris Ahmad, former Ameer JI Qazi Hussain Ahmad, Senior Minister Raja Riaz Ahmad, Law Minister Rana Sanaullah, Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khosa, Senator Kazim Khan, PPP General Secretary Jahangir Badar, former DG IB Ijaz Shah, Federal Secretary G.
