Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain on Thursday demanded immediate release of missing Baloch leaders and youths. Leader of Jamhoori Watan Party (JWP) Shazain Bugti telephoned Altaf Hussain here on Thursday and invited MQM to participate in JWP long march on January 28, 2011.
Shazain said that they had rejected Balochistan Package and would march on Dera Bugti for their rights on January 28, which would be led by Bari Begum. "To sabotage the long march, the government is registering fraudulent cases against Baloch leaders," he added.
He said that hopefully MQM would continue to support Baloch people. He requested MQM to cooperate and participate in the long march scheduled for January 28. Altaf said that MQM would continue to play its positive role for the rights of Baloch people. He said he would inform MQM Rabita Committee regarding the invitation to participate in the long march.
He demanded President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani and Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik to provide basic rights to Baloch people. He demanded of the government to provide security to the participants of the long march.
