Personnel of Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) have established a disciplined traffic system in the capital, which helped to reduce ratio of accidents, said Mir Vaiz Niaz Superintendent of Police (SP) Traffic here on Friday. Pedestrians have the first right on the roads, therefore, a driver must take care of the pedestrians while driving and abide by traffic rules to save others' lives, Mir Vaiz said while addressing the students of 64th batch of ITP Driving School.
A total of 169 students including 25 women passed out in the batch. The SP stressed the students to demonstrate patience, while driving their vehicles and avoid the violation of traffic rules. "The aim of the establishment of ITP Driving School is to inculcate driving skills among the public, therefore, they should join hands with ITP for the better flow of traffic," he added. The SP said the ITP driving school was playing a vital role in providing the basic knowledge of road safety to the citizens.
He emphasised the students to always keep in mind the rights of the pedestrians while driving. He also extolled the performance of team of education school and said that due to their efforts, ITP succeeded in maintaining its image better among the community. "The efforts of Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) and hard work of its personnel have not only helped establish a disciplined traffic system in the capital, but also reduced ratio of accidents," the SP said. He later distributed certificates and driving licenses among the passed out students.
