The Karachi Port handled 96,529 tonnes of cargo including 73,581 tonnes of import cargo, 22,948 tonnes of export cargo, 3,385 loaded and empty containers during last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Saturday. The total import cargo of 73,581 tonnes comprised of 23,552 tonnes of containerised cargo; 6,644 tonnes of general cargo; 27,974 tonnes of coal and 15,411 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
The total export cargo of 22,948 tonnes comprised of 18,896 tonnes of containerised cargo; 845 tonnes of general cargo; 3,005 tonnes of cement and 202 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo. Six ships namely Bow Santos, Pacific Express, Sima Sahba, FPMC P Fortune, TS Qingdao and Patriotic with chemicals, general cargo, containers, naptha, containers and chemicals respectively sailed out to sea during the reported period.
Five vessels viz Marcampania, Kota Anggerik, APL Guangzhou, Bow Santos and Bow Panther carrying bags, containers, chemicals and palm oil respectively are currently at the berths. Five ships namely Abdullatif S, Da Hua, Overseas Mindoro, CMB Maxime and Polaris Leader carrying cement, general cargo, petrol, coal and vehicles respectively expected to sail on Saturday, while three ships namely Teera Bhum, Bow Panther and OEL Trust with palm oil and containers respectively are expected to sail on Sunday.
Seven vessels viz Al-Saada, CSL Ride, OEL Trust, YM North, Cape Manuel, CS Salina and Alliance Norfolk carrying base oil, containers, steel and vehicles due to arrive on Saturday, while four vessels viz Abtin-1, Lt Trieste, Hyundai New York and Bsle princess with containers and talc powder respectively are due to arrive on Sunday. Three ships namely Lodestar Genesis, Argent Bloom and Al-Wajba carrying chemicals, palm oil and containers respectively are due to arrive on Monday.

PORT QASIM
The Port Qasim handled 32,111 tonnes of cargo includes 21,553 tonnes of import cargo and 10,558 tonnes of export cargo, 1,399 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours.
The total import cargo of 21,553 tonnes includes 5,700 tonnes of palm oil; 853 tonnes of sugar and 15,000 tonnes of containerised cargo. The total export cargo of 10,558 tonnes includes 3,756 tonnes of wheat; 2,014 tonnes of cement and 4,788 tonnes of containerised cargo.
A container ship namely CV Glory sailed out to sea Saturday morning. A total number of five vessels viz CV Glory, Leopard-B, MV Lagonda, Rain Bow and Galaxy are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, wheat, sugar and palm oil respectively during last 24 hours.
Seven ships namely Yon Phung Ho, Alexi-1, Rana, Chem Road Nova, Iron Monger-5, MSC Anafi and Antje Wulff carrying wheat, cement, edible oil, furnace oil and containers respectively are currently at the outer anchorage. A total number of four vessels viz MSC Anafi, Antje Wulff, Iron Monger-5 and Chem Road Nova carrying containers, furnace oil and edible oil respectively are expected to take berths at Container Terminal, FOTCO Oil Terminal and Liquid Cargo Terminal respectively on Saturday.
