The Governor/Chancellor has appointed Professor Mohammad Sarwar (T.I), Director, Institute of Animal Nutrition and Feed Technology, as Dean, Faculty of Animal Husbandry, UAF for a period of three years. Dr Sarwar who did his doctorate in Dairy Science from the Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio, USA in 1991, has supervised 11 PhDs and published around 200 research papers in national and international journals and his impact factor is above 60.
He was awarded Research Productivity Allowance for 2003, 2004, 2005, and 2006 by Pakistan Council for Science and Technology, Government of Pakistan. In recognition of his meritorious and acclaimed services in the field of science and technology, the President, Islamic Republic of Pakistan has decorated him with civil award "Tamgha-e-Imtiaz". He is an author of three textbooks and nominated as an "Honorary Scientist" by Rural Development Administration, Korea for three years. Dr Sarwar has been awarded gold medal by Pakistan Academy of Sciences, Islamabad.
