I am hurt, disappointed and regret why the KESC conducted such long loadshedding in our area of Soldier Bazaar on January 19, 2011 which began from 10.30 am and lasted up to evening 6.00 pm. For what reasons does the KESC always select our area for long hours of loadshedding? Are we the only patient and civilised people off entire Karachi?
More painful was the fact that no authority, such as the Nepra or Power Minister never questioned the KESC management why their punishment period was so long for the honest consumers. KESC then reveals how it punish illegal consumers, but I never saw a single consumer punished or fined. Only those consumers are brought before the authorities who are using illegal connections without the support or help of the KESC staff (black sheep).
Due to this reason, the KESC faces huge losses and that is the main reason that no one can keep a check and balance system. If the KESC management fails to catch the illegal consumers and extracts the fines for that connection that the consumers are using, then such a move will be for the benefit of the KESC to help it overcome the financial losses.
When the KESC wants to conduct such a long time loadshedding, then they should inform the consumers in advance, who have never realised how people are suffering with the entire work schedule of the common man being disturbed but the KESC management has never apologised to the consumers for this problem. They think that by apologising they become smaller.
