Elon Musk warns back-flipping robot will cause apocalypse

Elon Musk has earlier warned people about the harm and destruction Artificial Intelligence (AI) could probably bring in to human lives. Again, Musk showed his growing concerns regarding the increase in AI making claims about the recent ‘back-flipping’ robot and how it will lead to Earth apocalypse.

The CEO of Tesla and the co-founder of SpaceX asserted that AI will be the terminator for human race. He also declared that the back-flipping robot recently created will be a cause for Earth’s apocalypse.

Not many days ago, Boston Dynamics created a robot, Atlas that gained popularity within no time. The robot was famous for its astounding ability to perform a back flip. In his tweet, Musk said that the robots in future would be able to move so fast that it would be impossible to see them from naked eye. A strobe light would be required in order to watch such super fast-moving robot otherwise it would just be a blur, reported Tech Juice.

Musk called the everyday growing developments in AI as being ‘seriously dangerous’. He also predicted that AI is likely to kill humans and there is a 5%-10% chance that humans may get successful in making AI safe.

The Next Web wrote, Musk asserted, “The risk of something seriously dangerous happening is in the five-year timeframe. Ten years at most.”

Last year too, Musk said that humans have already lost the battle against AI and the only way humans can beat them was to join them. He said, “Under any rate of advancement in AI, we will be left behind by a lot. The benign situation with ultra-intelligent AI is that we would be so far below in intelligence we’d be like a pet, or a house cat.”
