The United States (US) on Thursday placed Tehrik-e Taliban Pakistan (TTP) leader Qari Hussain on a terrorism blacklist, with the State Department saying the action against the militant leader is "in response to the wanton acts of violence he has perpetrated against the people of Pakistan and the US.
" The terrorist designation will help stem the flow of finances to Hussain by blocking all property subject to US jurisdiction in which he has an interest and prohibiting all transactions by US persons with Hussain. The TTP has already been designated by the United States as a Foreign Terrorist Organisation", the State Department said, announcing designation by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's under an executive order, which targets terrorists and their supporters.
