Special Judge Anti-Corruption Dera Ghazi Khan Mian Muhammad Iqbal Bhatti has awarded seven years' imprisonment and a fine of one lakh rupees each to nine accused for the allotment of 2170 kanal state land near Rajanpur through forgery. The culprits will undergo a further six months' imprisonment in case of non-payment of fine.
According to details, a tenant Altaf Hussain of a nearby village of Dera Ghazi Khan, filed a case in Anti-Corruption Court Dera Ghazi Khan that Rahim Baksh, Muhammad Tufail, Ghulam Yasin, Rasool Baksh, Ghulam Shabbir, Imdad Hussain, Abdul Rashid, Ghulam Akbar and Ghulam Murtaza had got allotted 2170 kanal state land, which was being cultivated by him, to their names through forged documents. During investigation the transfers of the land was cancelled, while after detailed hearing of the case Special Judge Anti Corruption Dera Ghazi Khan sentenced the accused to seven years' imprisonment and a fine of Rs one lakh each.
