Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazal (JUI-F) Chief Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman Monday alleged that the present government has left behind the former Musharraf led-regime in following foreign dictation. Talking to journalists outside Parliament House, he deplored that the Parliament was even unable to implement its own joint resolution pertaining to protection of the country's sovereignty.
He was of the view that it was unfortunate that the politicians were demanding of the government to implement the decisions of the Supreme Court, which itself is powerful and is in the position to implement its own decisions, but they are reluctant to demand implementation of the unanimous resolution of the parliament.
He mentioned that our army was under extreme pressure whether to join foreign powers in so called war against terror or in other case launch operation inside the country.
He said that all these were done due to the weak policies of the incumbent government, adding that as the Parliament is about to complete its three years, no legislation was done following people's aspirations.
To a question whether the current government will complete its five-year tenure, the JUI-F Chief said that the government was in a state of weakness and foreign pressure would increase as soon as it shows its weaknesses. He said that all the political parties including Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz were under foreign pressure to sit behind the PPP government. To another question, Maualna Fazal-ur-Rehman reiterated that his party would not rejoin the ruling coalition.
