Speaker National Assembly Dr Fehmida Mirza called on President Asif Ali Zardari here in the Presidency on Monday. She briefed the President about her recent visits to UK and UAE and her participation in the annual meeting of the Standing Committee of the Conference of Speakers and Presiding Officers of the Commonwealth (CSPOC) countries held at Isle of Man (UK) and 2nd Extra-Ordinary Conference of the Parliamentary Union of Islamic Countries (PUIC) at Abu Dhabi.
The President congratulated her on her successful visits to UK and UAE and appreciated her role for projecting the image of the country at the two conferences held in UK and UAE. He also hailed the role of the Speaker for running the business of the National assembly in a smooth and efficient manner.-PR
