Pakistan and Russia held 6th meeting of Consultative Group on Strategic Stability, says a press release issued by the Foreign Office here on Monday.
The Pakistan delegation was headed by Additional Foreign Secretary, Munawar Saeed Bhatti, whereas Sergey A. Ryabkov, Deputy Foreign Minister led the Russian delegation.
The two sides reviewed developments related to international and regional security, including arms control, nuclear disarmament and non-proliferation, besides discussing co-operation in the areas of science and technology, energy security and multilateral fora. The two sides reaffirmed their commitment to deepen their relationship and take pragmatic steps for promoting a comprehensive partnership between Pakistan and Russia.
Sergey A. Ryabkov also called on Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Nawabzada Malik Amad Khan and exchanged views with Foreign Secretary Salman Bashir. Both sides agreed to convene the next meeting of the group in Moscow at mutually convenient dates.-PR
