Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) on Friday staged a protest demonstration against the killing of three persons by an American Consulate Employee in Lahore. The protestors urged the government for immediate dispensation of justice against the murder of three Pakistani citizens in Lahore by an American in front of Parliament House.
The PTI workers of Islamabad Chapter organised a demonstration to condemn the killing of innocent Pakistanis by American and the 'cruel' silence of country's ruling leadership over his barbaric act. They were urged the government to hang the 'criminal' American in the public, as it was not the first time where they were involved to take the life of innocent Pakistanis in broad daylight. They termed it a heinous crime and also demanded not to hand over the American killer to the US and try him in the country's court of law.
They were also chanting various unique slogans this time aired against America and the incumbent government over keeping mum after this repeated wild violence by Americans with the peace-loving people of the country. "America Go," "Drone attacks unacceptable," Down with America," we demand justice" etc.
Later, PTI workers organised a protest rally under the leadership of Dr Shireen Mazari as they intend to go to the American Embassy to convey their resentment, but the police forcefully stopped the protestors at Nadra Chowk. However, ICT Police succeeded in stopping after exchange of many harsh words and forcibly pushing the PTI workers enter into physical brawl.
Senior leader of PTI, Dr Shireen Mazari while talking to the media deplored that the rulers should leave deep slumber to protect the lives of innocent people which was at stake due to covert activities of Americans in Pakistan. "We don't accept American hegemony in our beloved country as they killed our innocent people without any charges" she said, adding that American remained busy in taking our innocent blood, but no one at state level seemed ready to talk to the America over the barbarism, which was a matter of grave concern.
She was of the view that rulers should come on front to protect the rights of common people, which were in severe danger due to clandestine activities of American in the region. Zahid Kazmi of PTI said no one among the ruling elite dared to communicate the painful voice of peaceful masses of the country to the American rulers. We are a discipline party and are peaceful, but ICT Police has forcibly stopped us to enter into the so-called Red Zone, which is the sheer cruelty of the rulers.
Meanwhile in a press statement, the Additional Secretary General of the PTI Saifullah Khan Niazi has demanded of the government not to hand over the American killer to the US and instead try him in this country's court of law for his crime. If Washington could try Dr Aafia Siddiqi in the US for an alleged offence, why we should not try an American who has overstepped limits of law and murdered three Pakistanis on the soil of this country, he asked.
