As many as 16 agreements were signed between Pakistan and China since 2007. According to information provided to the National Assembly Secretariat, an agreement was signed on establishment of Joint Investment Company between Government of Pakistan and China Development Bank (CDB) on July 18, 2007.
Another Grant Assistance Agreement on Economic and Technical Co-operation was signed with China Exim Bank on April 07, 2007 In 2008, two agreements were signed with China including Preferential Buyer's Credit Loan Agreement for Improvement of KKH and Grant Assistance Agreement on Economic and Technical Co-operation signed on January 18, 2008 and on October 15, 2008 with China Exim Bank respectively.
Similarly, five agreements were signed with China in 2009, Preferential Buyer's Credit loan agreement on Roads & Bridges (Package-I) under AJK development programme signed on June 18, 2009. Preferential Buyer's Credit loan agreement Urban Infrastructure Development (Package-II) under AJK Development Programme signed on June 18, 2009. Government concessional loan agreement on Pak IR Satellite system project signed on October 15, 2009. Buyer Credit loan agreement on Procurement and manufacturing of 75-Deisel Engine Locomotives. Buyer Credit loan agreement on procurement and manufacturing of 202 Rails Coaches signed on December 14, 2009.
In 2010, Government Concessional Loan Agreement Chashma-3 & 4 units Project signed on February 22, 2010. Preferential Buyer Credit Loan Agreement of Chashma-3 & 4 units Project signed on February 22, 2010. Buyer Credit of Chashma-3 & 4 units Project signed on April 09, 2010. Grant Assistance Agreement on Economic and Technical Co-operation for Flood Relief signed between Government of Pakistan and China Exim bank on July 07, 2010.
Similarly, Concessional Loan Agreement of Pak-Sat-1R Ground Control Segment project signed on October 27, 2010. Concessional Loan with China Exim bank on procurement of Non intrusive vehicle X-Ray system project signed on December 17, 2010 and Concessional Loan Agreement on Safe City Islamabad project signed with China Exim Bank on December 17, 2010.
