Saeed Ajmal still not convinced over 2011 World Cup’s Tendulkar decision
Pakistan off spinner Saeed Ajmal may have ended his international career, but still has issues over Indian batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar for being given not out during the 2011 World Cup semi- final.
"I was totally convinced I had him in front of the stumps but how the umpires didn’t give him out I still can’t understand," said Ajmal, quoted Press Trust of India.
The Indian cricket legend went on to top-score with 85 runs in that game against arch-rivals Pakistan at Mohali.
During the match Tendulkar struggled to pick Ajmal’s variations. Ajmal meanwhile praised Tendulkar saying that bowling against the Indian batsmen was always a test.
“It was always a test of skills and nerves when bowling to Tendulkar and company.”
Ajmal ended his career yesterday (Wednesday) after his side Faislabad lost to Lahore Whites at the National T20 Cup, Ajmal finished his career with 178 wickets in 35 Tests.
