The computerised registration management system would be introduced in revenue departments of all districts of province by June 30th 2011, as directed by Chief Minister of Punjab, Shahbaz Sharif.
Inspecting the computerised registration management system of revenue department here on Monday at the premises of the district court, Law Minister Rana Sanullah Khan said that the Punjab government was providing prompt relief to the public and performance of the different government departments was being improved by introducing scientific and modern technologies for the early and transparent completion of official work.
He appreciated the successful experience of computerised registration of properties and said that this system would help in controlling the forgery and fraud besides minimising the litigation. He paid rich tributes to the divisional and district administration for introducing this system and said that it was a remarkable achievement under the supervision of Commissioner Tahir Hussain, DCO Naseem Sadiq and EDOR Liaqat Ali Chatha. The chief minister of Punjab has very much appreciated them and has decided to introduce this advance system across the province.
The minister examined the methods and process of registration of sale deed through computerisation and interacted with the lawyer community for acquiring the benefits of this system. DCO Naseem Sadiq informed the minister that this system had been set up on self help basis and even a single penny of the government's was not used. He said that state-of-the-art office had been established and the applicants were being provided with comfortable sitting facilities for waiting and all process was completed through one window operation for the registration of sale deed. He said that the buyers and sellers of the properties were reposing trust and confidence on this system.
EDOR Liaqat Chatha, during briefing informed that the snaps of the sellers were being pasted on stamp paper through computer and they had to come before the computer camera for this purpose. He said that the thumb impressions of the sellers were also taken by biometric system and their national identify card were verified. He said that the chances of the fraud and forgery had been eliminated by introducing this system and the collection of different government dues had also been made transparent.
