Punjab University (PU) Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Mujahid Kamran presided over the second session of two-day international workshop on "The Conduct of Responsible Science" held in the auditorium of FC College University Lahore. The workshop is being organised in collaboration with FC College University Lahore, International Council for Life Sciences (ICLS) and Comstech.
Speaking on the occasion, Vice-Chancellor Dr Mujahid Kamran stressed upon the research scholars to carry out research, which brings fruitful results to mankind and avoid such research which can prove harmful to humanity. He said this workshop is very important of its kind. The objectives of the workshop are to promote concept of conduct of responsible science among scientists themselves, promote respect for scientific professions in a way appropriate for a civilised society, enhance contribution of science to the Pakistani community at large and build a sustainable network in Pakistan that meets and publishes regularly on key issues related to conduct of safe, secure and ethical conduct of science in the context of a progress society.
In the second session, Director Centre for Public Policy and Governance FC College Dr Saeed Shafqat, Dean Faculty of Management and Social Sciences Institute of Business Technology Karachi Dr Muhammad Ali Siddiqui, Chairman Mass Communication Department BNU Dr Mehdi Hassan and Executive Director GIKI Dr Shaukat Hameed Khan read their research papers. In the two-day workshop, a number of scholars from Pakistan and foreign countries will present their papers.
