Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani inquired about the safety and security of the Pakistani nationals in Egypt from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ambassador of Pakistan in Cairo. He directed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to closely monitor and assess the evolving security situation in Egypt and keep him apprised of the welfare of Pakistani community, there, on regular basis.
The Prime Minister has further directed that the Ministry, in co-ordination with other Divisions and Departments concerned, should have a contingency plan to meet any emergent situation for ensuring, if required, the safe exit of Pakistani nationals from Egypt.
