The profit after tax of Clariant Pakistan Limited has increased to Rs 762.700 million in the year ended December 31, 2010 as compared to Rs 585.837 million earned in the corresponding period in 2009. The company's earnings per share increased to Rs 27.94 in the period under review against Rs 21.46 in the same period a year back.
The board of directors of the company in its meeting held here on Monday recommended a final cash dividend for the year at Rs 13.50 per share, ie 135 percent. The board of directors also recommended bonus shares in proportion with one share for every four shares held ie 25 percent.
According to the financial results sent to Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE), the company's net sales increased to Rs 8.383 billion in the year 2010 against Rs 7.697 billion in the same period in 2009. The cost of goods sold increased to Rs 6.475 billion against Rs 5.895 billion. The company's profit before taxation increased to Rs 983.529 million in 2010 against Rs 831.031 million earned in the same period in 2009.
