Punjab Governor, Sardar Latif Khosa has said issues relating to industry will be resolved on priority basis, as industry's friendly strategies can put the country on the path of progress and prosperity. He was talking to a delegation of Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), led by its Regional Chairman, Mian Muhammad Tariq Shafi.
The governor said that all reservations of business communities of different sector will be sorted out without any discrimination but every segment of society also has to play their individual role in the development of the country. He assured that each and every recommendation and proposal, in this regard, will be forwarded to the Prime Minister and President of Pakistan without any delay, because the solution of problems of industries will definitely bring the economy on positive track.
Speaking on the occasion, Mian Muhammad Tariq Shafi urged the government to focus on public-private partnership to uplift the economic status of Pakistan. This strategy will create new wave of confidence among the business community, he said adding that every initiative should be taken in consultation with the business community in national interest.
Expressing his views, Saarc Chamber of Commerce and Industry Vice President, Iftikhar Al Malik said the country is in a critical position while law and order and energy crisis are dumping the industry. Government, therefore, should review its policies for the development of the country with real sense. He assured that the business community would extend its support to the government in this regard.
FPCCI Vice President, Chaudhry Aamer Ata Bajwa stressed the need for eliminating discriminatory attitude so that industry's confidence could be restored. Otherwise millions of people will lose their jobs which would further aggravate the situation, he added. LCCI President, Shahzad Ali Malik and other prominent business leaders of Punjab were also present on the occasion.
