Punjab government has asked the federal government to hand over driver involved in killing of Ibadur Rehman, a private TV channel reported Tuesday. According to the channel, in a letter written to the federal secretary, Punjab government has informed the federal government that on January 28, 2011 an accident took place in Lahore in which Ibadur Rehman lost his life and another person sustained injuries due to negligent driving of a driver.
Punjab government has requested the federal government that the driver involved in the accident may be handed over to the provincial government because a case has been registered against the driver in Lahore. Punjab government has further requested that the name of the driver may be placed on exit control list, the channel added.
