Islamabad Police on Tuesday arrested ten persons including three proclaimed offenders and recovered looted items worth Rs 200,000 from their possession during its anti-outlaw drive. Following the instructions of SSP Islamabad Tahir Alam Khan all Station House Officers (SHOs) and other investigation officers have intensified their efforts against the outlaws, said a spokesman of Islamabad Police here on Tuesday.
SHO Shehzad Town, Inspector Mubarak Hussain arrested two proclaimed offenders who were involved in murder and were wanted to police. The detained outlaws identified as Muhammad Naveed son of Muhammad Hanif and Ulfat Shah son of Barkat Shah, were wanted in a murder case filed under case no 366/09 under section 302 and case number 449/09 under section 302, the spokesman said. He said that the detained outlaws were presented in the court of law and were granted physical remand.
ASI Ghulam Qadir of Bhara Kahu Police arrested a proclaimed offender Waqas Iqbal son of Waseem Iqbal against whom a case no. 183/09 under section 302/324 was registered in Bhara Kahu Police Station, he said, adding that the outlaw was presented in the court, which granted him physical remand.
Meanwhile, Shalimar Police nabbed two thieves Kashif Bashir, Manzoor Ahmed and recovered valuables worth Rs 200,000 from their possession. They confessed to strike on various houses at sector G-11/1 and G-9 and further investigation is underway from them.
Tarnol Police held five suspects during search operation and further investigation is underway from them. SSP Islamabad Tahir Alam Khan has appreciated the performance of those police officials who arrested these proclaimed offenders, thieves and announced cash prizes as well as commendation certificates for them.
