The son of Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani and Chairman, Public Accounts Committee of the Punjab Assembly, Abdul Qadir Gilani has decided to resign from his post. According to Aaj News, he took the decision after meeting with Pakistan People's Party co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari at the Aiwan-e-Sadr. Senior minister Raja Riaz, Farooq Ghurqi and Fouzia Wahab also attended the meeting.
Abdul Qadir Gilani informed the meeting of his reservations against Punjab government. He said that he can not continue as committee chairman after the allegations levelled against him by the Muslim League leaders. Asif Ali Zardari has approved the decision, the channel added.
