Pakistan Railway has worked out an emergency plan whereby operation of 10 specified trains may be stopped in case of any emergency like floods, fuel problem, non-availability of locomotive or coaches. This plan has been chalked out to ensure that no express or mail trains are affected in case of any emergency and their normal operation continues, a Railways official said on Wednesday.
He said the railways controls have been communicated that operation of none of the express and mail trains be halted during an emergency and instead only operation of a train out of 10 specified ones may be stopped. He said that PSO has supplied the required fuel and for the time being there is no problem.
