Renowned social worker and chief of Edhi Foundation, Abdul Sattar Edhi was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize for his long and matchless social services, Aaj News reported. Edhi has been nominated for the prize by Deputy Speaker of Norway's Parliament Akhtar Chaudhry.
Edhi said that his nomination is a matter of great pride not only for himself but also for the nation and the country. He pledged to continue serving the humanity with renewed vigour and zeal, the channel added.
